Member Benefits

Joining a user group is an excellent way to further your technical education. Not only will you have the opportunity to attend technical presentations and Q&A sessions given by a variety of highly knowledgeable speakers, but also you'll be exposed to a group of peers in your area who share a common interest in technology. Some of the benefits of developer and .NET user groups include:

  • Regular Meetings. Attend meetings which occur on the 4th Tuesday of every month from 5:30pm - 7:30pm.  Held at our meeting room. Both the meeting room and the location can change. If there is a change it will be broadcast by email. These meetings feature presentations by local and visiting INETA speakers, technical Q&A and troubleshooting sessions, and a variety of giveaways from sponsors. Meetings are typically held each month. By joining you will receive a flyer each month describing the current presenation.  Come and learn from industry experts and from each other, see real world case studies, and delve into hands-on code examples
  • Online Community. Most user groups have Web sites packed with the latest technical news, special offers, archived presentations, discussion forums, and other educational resources.
  • Mailing Lists. Keep up to date on all the latest discussions, news, offers, jobs, and educational opportunities.  As a special service to our members, I occasionally post job offers, that are local to Boulder and Broomfield counties only, to all members. This connects local talent to local employers. You are invited to ask not to recieve these job postings.
  • Peer Support. User groups are based on the idea of support from, and interaction with, peers. Find answers for your technical questions while building a network in your local developer community.
  • Volunteer Opportunities. User groups depend on the volunteer efforts of their members. Most groups have excellent opportunities to gain valuable experience on development projects, organizational committees, and other aspects of non-profits.
  • Projects. Many user groups embark on technical projects which provide members with an opportunity to practice and apply recently learn technical skills.
  • Group memebers can join CodeZone.    Codezone is about helping YOU find the most valuable developer community resources anywhere, from user groups and events, to newsgroups, blogs, forums, and breaking news, all based on recommendations from you and your peers.
