Description:
Over the years, Microsoft Office has evolved as a technology that can be used as a part of an application development effort. With the release of Office 2007, there are a number of additional means for developers to leverage Office in their solutions. This session will focus on some of the new features of Office such as the Document Information Panel, the XML File Formats, changes to the Office User Interface, and a new version of Visual Studio Tools for Office.

Joe Shirey has been with Interlink since 1996. As Vice President and General Manager, he runs service and delivery for Interlink's largest market. Mr. Shirey is a Microsoft Regional Director, a Microsoft Certified Architect, a member of the Microsoft Architect Advisory Board, and sits on the .NET Partner Advisory Council. Previously, as Vice President of Software Solutions, he was responsible for the capabilities of the division, both in creating services that address the business needs of the marketplace and ensuring they are delivered in a high quality manner. Prior to this, Mr. Shirey managed an Interlink branch in Phoenix, providing leadership over the sales, delivery, and operations in the Arizona market and directed efforts in prospecting and targeting growth markets. In addition, he was responsible for turning the Arizona Branch into a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. Mr. Shirey has more than fifteen years of hands-on technical and functional experience in project management, systems analysis, design, development, and implementation.
